Photographer & Cinematographer

Real stories for brands, families & NGOs

A young man standing on a beach holding a professional video camera on a shoulder rig, with palm trees and an overcast sky in the background.

I’m Ethan Swope, a Los Angeles–based photographer and cinematographer. My work has taken me from California wildfires to the war in Ukraine, and my images have appeared on the front page of The New York Times and in TIME, AP, Getty, Bloomberg, and outlets worldwide.

I bring that same instinct for truth and cinematic storytelling to portraits, campaigns, and branded films for organizations. Whether in the field or the studio, my goal is to create visuals that feel authentic, urgent, and deeply human.
